Eridanus

Eridanus

A beautiful and elegantly shaped knife, Eridanus is a great design for utility, the kitchen, boning, or even collecting. This particular knife has a mirror finished, hollow ground 440C high chromium martensitic stainless steel blade with just a bit of filework on the spine, and a nicely and thinly tapered tang. The blade is about 6.5" long and the knife has an overall length of 10.7". The bolsters are brightly cut high nickel, high chromium 304 austenitic stainless steel and are dovetailed to bed a pair of bright Sunset Jasper gemstone handle scales. This jasper is probably closer to a rhyolite in mineral make-up, and is hard and tough and beautiful. The sheath for the knife has multiple inlays of Ringmark Lizard skin in hand-carved leather shoulder, dyed dark brown, hand-stitched with polyester sinew, lacquered and sealed. A very classy knife.
