Fornax

"Fornax" nessmuk style blade in 440C stainless steel blade, nickel silver bolsters, Labradorite gemstone handle, black stingray skin inlaid in leather sheath
Fornax Nessmuk Style Knife

My Fornax pattern is based on a Nessmuk style blade shape, a slight upswept drop point blade design, hollow ground and mirror finished in 440C high chromium martensitic stainless steel. This knife has mirror finished nickel silver bolsters, and a Labradorite gemstone handle. Labradorite has a uniqe property called "labradoressence" which refers to color and reflective changes in the gemstone that is exhibited only in this mineral. The photos can't capture it, unfortunately. The knife design is comfortable and inviting in the hand. The sheath has multiple inlays of black stingray skin in hand-carved leather.
