- Knife: This is another in the series of
collaborative works by James Beauchamp and Jay Fisher. This fine
knife is for a member of the US Army Rapid Equipping Force for his use and carry in the
tactical field. This is my most popular CSAR knife, proven in the
field of combat in marine, mountain, and desert
operations. The blade is high chromium, highly corrosion
resistant 440C martensitic stainless tool steel, fully hollow ground, with a thick spine for
support and a half-length swage to reduce point profile while
conserving strength. The blade has 2" of vampire rip teeth
serrations, and a fully tapered tang to reduce handle weight and
maintain balance. The blade is bolstered in the critical areas with
two pairs of dovetailed 304 stainless steel bolsters, a zero care
high nickel, high chromium extremely corrosion resistant stainless steel. The bolsters bed a pair
of canvas reinforced micarta phenolic scales, and the entire knife,
blade, bolsters and handle are bead blasted for good tactile
grip and subdued wear. The edges are, of course, razor keen, and at
58.5 HRC, will maintain a fine, hard and tough cutting edge for a
very long time. The blade is custom machine engraved as a reminder
of its purpose.
- Sheath: The sheath James and I constructed is
made of double thickness kydex, thermoformed over a .250" double
layered 5052H32 corrosion resistant, high strength aluminum frame, secured with
nickel plated steel Chicago screws. The sheath is fully and
positively locking and waterproof. All of the components of the
locking mechanism are stainless steel for ultimate corrosion
resistance and longevity. This is, simply, one of the finest knife
sheaths made for the theatre of combat. The sheath has reversible belt
loops for a variety of carry and wear options. On the sheath face is
a removable custom engraved blue lacquered brass flash plate.
- This is another great collaborative work, a super knife
and sheath destined for tactical combat and defensive
operations. It's an honor for James and I to make these knives
for the men who are in the line of fire.
Thanks, T. A.!
Jay,
I can’t tell you the
happiness and the pure joy that you brought me; the engraving that I asked for was very simple, yet
you went the extra mile to make it a true work of art!
I can’t thank James and you enough for the outstanding work that you
have done – I will wear this knife with pride and every time I strap it
on will think of you and James and the work and craftsmanship that went
into the making of it.
Thank you for your work and your dedication that you put into the knives
that are destined for the Soldiers, Marines, Airmen and Civilians that
protect this great country.
My very best regards,
Tommy “Mbogo” Allen
