When illustration becomes art: Photography

I bought my first camera in the early 70's. Thousands of clicks later, photography is just as much a part of my life’s work as the azure of the sky, the verde of the forest. I photograph everything from people to knives and other artwork, scenery to architecture.  Every photo on this site is my work.

Professional Large Format Photography

I used to offer complete photographic, processing and darkroom services, including on-site, creative, and custom work. I work in formats from 35mm to 6x6 cm to 4x5 in. I use black and white negatives, B+W transparencies, B+W high resolution films, high contrast, infrared, and lithographs. Color films include professional grade negatives and transparencies. I print all the above films and enlarge up to 16x20 print size. I use a computer in concert with my lab for special modification and digitizing. I even mat, mount, and build my own compound frames.

I have photographed an international crowd, from old cowboys to Hollywood actors and actresses, to active duty military elite. My photos have been published in national magazines, and hang on the wall of our nation's top military rescue school, which I consider an honor and art. See my work here.
